My Story, Brenda Welty
My work as an artist has evolved along with me in this life. I have had a camera in my hand since I was 16 years old back in the 70’s.I have experimented with films, papers, processes and special effects, genres, styles, subjects. I have seen a lot, lived a lot. I’ve watched life pass by - the good and the bad. My interest at this point is exploration, art, experimentation, discovery. This and all aspects of photography - shooting, developing, digitally processing.I’m still excited when I see an interesting scene with cool lines, color, texture, light. Man made and from nature. I like collecting these images and seeing how they work together to create something. Ultimately, it is not just about the shiny thing but how these things relate to humans, our lives. How the bursts of light, or the sway of the trees symbolize expressions of our experiences - with our day to day life. And how these evoke emotion as a reflection and state of being. I believe in collaboration with other artists and creatives and the energy and momentum that will unfold. Life is a wonder opening doors to magical places. This is me. This is where I am.
